Infinite Loops
2020
Ever-hungry social media platforms put an incredible pressure on marketing departments to produce cost-effective yet quality content.
Instagram is particularly keen on very short loops, short enough to be viewed before the inevitable swipe-left.
We were commissioned to produce original Infinite Loops that would get the selling points across while being creative and shareable.
The results include Bird-headed Cocktail Lovers, a Jacuzzi Cosmonaut, a few Magic Sunglasses, and a Boomerang Dancing Duet....

The Arches
2018
As an architectural icon, the Murray Hotel Arches are an ideal location with so many eye-catching angles to choose from.
In preparation for the Fendi fashion catwalk, we collected timelapses of the construction and trial run of the event setup to highlight the versatility of this space.
Crowdfunding Campaign
2018
The startup company, Nivose, needed to showcase their winter athleisure fashion for a crowdfunding campaign on the French platform, Ulule.
But, there was no actual collection to feature! So how could we create an eye-catching promo video without any products?
Luckily, we were given 2 prototype styles of winter jacket and some old posters of the original Nivose branding from 1936.
With these in hand we told the legacy of their brand name using a creative mix of vintage graphic styles and green screen technology.
Spa
2017
We had two days to shoot all the footage necessary for three different edits - hotel, food & beverage and spa. Therefore, to avoid disrupting the guests at Banyan Tree Macau, it was essential that we planned production down to the smallest detail.
Storyboarding each scene was crucial as our movements had to be carefully coordinated with access to locations limited to specific times during the day.
Admittedly though, it was the first time talents asked for more takes.
Annual Party Teaser #3/3
2016
Don't forget the essentials before putting your party shoes on!
A final clip to remind guests what to expect, and what is expected of them, at the office Christmas party.
Annual Party Teaser #2/3
2016
Stage 2 of our "lest they forget" strategy was making sure the guests arrived appropriately dressed.
Hosting a costume party is like choreographing a flash mob; it only works when everyone reads the same memo.
We made sure that these partygoers knew what they were getting into... costumes that is!
Annual Party Teaser #1/3
2016
How can we make sure you make it to a party without relying on your smart calendar?
Simple - burn it into the back of your brain with visuals you can't forget!
When we received a brief to build trailers for a game themed party, you had to practically hold us back from diving into the toy box.
We even searched high and low for one of the few classic pinball machines in Hong Kong.

LANDMARK Men - Whisky Tour 2015
2015
It's hard enough to say no to a glass of well-aged Whiskey. But who could resist the dream of comparing 30 of the finest Whiskies, carefully picked from around the world for trendsetting Hongkong Land?
One noteworthy visual effect that we created is the space-time continuum dolly shot on the bottles. This trick allowed us to highlight the bottles without promoting any particular brand.
However, given the high number of paticipating shops to visit, the short time available, and the density of the crowd, we were required to shoot sharply and swiftly.

LANDMARK - 53 Steps Down the Aisle

How many steps does it take to get married?
According to Hongkong Land, only 53.
This shoot was particularly challenging, as we had to adapt and overcome the conditions placed on us by the Photo-shoot and Mother Nature.
In shooting a behind the scenes of a photo shoot, we must discreetly capture every aspect of the photo shoot, without ever delaying or disturbing the primary shoot.

LANDMARK - No Dress Code
2013
We went behind-the-scenes and captured the glamour of a high-end photo shoot, and as usual we had to work discreetly around the photographer.
Back in the edit room we decided to highlight specific elements of fashion by using a magnifying graphic system. This allowed us to showcase details on accessories, wools, and furs and show how breathtaking winter fashion truly looked like.

Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion with Huang Xiao Ming
2013
For this Fall/Winter 2013 and third installment of One Central Macau‘s promotional movies, following Gaile Lai and Donnie Yen, it was no less impressive to work with Mainland China’s Megastar Huang Xiao Ming.
A renowned actor, singer and model with over 20 Millions followers on Weibo, brand ambassador for Tissot and ridiculously good looking, Huang Xiao Ming turned out to be very friendly and easy to work with. This was crucial as the whole movie was shot in just half a day since we had to share time with the photographer and keep the excited fans at bay.
But as Huang Xiao Ming played the game, reacting very positively to our direction, we were able to wrap the whole movie just in time for sunset on the One Central Macau promenade.

Although we were not producing Filmages' rendition of Ip Man, filming Donnie Yen for a behind-the-scenes video brought a different set of challenges. Since we had limited time with Donnie, we had to make the most of it.
For the Fall/Winter 2012 season, Yen demonstrated his impeccable taste for fashion while strolling past luxurious One Central Macau shops such as Dior, Ralph Lauren and Gucci.

LANDMARK - Christie’s Jewels for Hope

Filming jewellery is not as glamorous as one would think…
Try shooting within a very short (2 hour) time frame, through thick glass cases, with bright halogen spotlights creating crazy-strong overexposure, causing minimum disturbance to the VIP guests, watched closely by nervous security guards breathing suspiciously down your neck.
But that was no concern for our experienced team. We pulled that job off pretty well, don’t you think?
LANDMARK - Ascot Chang

Did you know that many world leaders would rather wear nothing else than Hong Kong's very own Ascot Chang VIP cotton shirt?
From such humble beginnings, Ascot Chang has achieved international recognition for their respect for tailoring traditions, best-in-class materials, and impeccable taste, fitting right into the Landmark's pursuit for excellence.

Scental Lip Dub
2011
We had worked with L'Oréal's travel retail marketing team on several projects, so to celebrate their huge achievements they wanted to make a fun, team-spirited video.
At this time it seemed like every company felt like a Lip-Dub video was a must-do.
But we were more than happy to indulge, because we had a lot of fun working in harmony with the staff.
Transformations
2010
To feature Emmanuel F hair salon's transformative magic, we planned then captured the metamorphosis of three different women.
We sure didn't have time to let our own hair down since it was all shot in less then half a day!
We then created a gentle blend of beauty cinematography, timelapse, photos, with a touch of organic-shaped motion graphics.
Lâncome - Make Up Artist
2010
For their latest travel-retail marketing campaign Lancôme needed to raise interest in their star MUA.
So we created a stylish lifestyle portrait of the Artist at work.
Fall / Winter Collection
2010
Catwalks and lookbooks are the go-to methods for showcasing a new fashion line, but we decided to blend these elements together and bring them to life through video.
Filmages went behind the scenes of a fashion shoot for Liliane H to highlight the movement and textures of her Fall/Winter collection.
Lâncome - Black Carat
2008
Producing in-store promos may seem like a pretty straightforward job: Client provides visual elements, we develop a storyboard, client sends us some feedback, we fine-tune and finalise it shortly thereafter– no major technical difficulty there, so that should be it!
However the devil is in the details, and even more so for the cosmetics industry.
Understandably, whenever there is a big, new blockbuster product coming out getting global communication to follow the product guidelines is a daunting task. On the other hand our assignment was to create something unique, exclusive for Asia-Pacific.
So, with little room to maneuver, we managed to create a visually attractive animation and successfully surpassed the brand-guardian's approval.

Lâncome - Cyclades
2007
Outside of Europe many people do not know about The Cyclades, one of the many cluseters of Greek Islands.
So when Lancôme asked us to make a video for their new Cyclades fragrance we needed to communicate the serene, tranquil beaches, blue skies, fresh air, and, of course, elegance of the Aegean Sea.
With watercolor paints and a scanner we designed a fresh, vibrant setting for the floral unveiling of Cyclades. When watched by staff and customers alike, the video puts imagery to emotion in a previously unknown place.
Ask them now about The Cyclades, and they'll have a lot to say!
