LANDMARK - The Art of Whisky

    2011

Unfamiliar with the subtle distinctions between whiskey and whisky? Between wheat, barley, malt and rye?
Missing knowledge about pit moss, oak barrels?
Hongkong Land VIPs were treated with an evening of spirited knowledge with the gold liquor guru Ron Taylor and his unmistakable Scottish accent.

We must say that the dark environment stretched the limit of our camera's ISO sensitivity down to its knee.

    2011

To celebrate the rebranding of Hongkong Land's Landmark basement in "LANDMARK MEN", a pop-up store was transformed into a premier billiard parlor for its Pool Tournament Series.

After two weeks of hard-ball competitions, the series finally came to a close when world snooker champion Marco Fu and celebrity Jennifer Tse soared in to show off their pool-playing skills in a friendly match.

Filming jewellery is not as glamorous as one would think…

Try shooting within a very short (2 hour) time frame, through thick glass cases, with bright halogen spotlights creating crazy-strong overexposure, causing minimum disturbance to the VIP guests, watched closely by nervous security guards breathing suspiciously down your neck.

But that was no concern for our experienced team. We pulled that job off pretty well, don’t you think?

From such humble beginnings, Ascot Chang has achieved international recognition for their respect for tailoring traditions, best-in-class materials, and impeccable taste, fitting right in to the Landmark's pursuit for excellence.

Lift music is difficult enough to ignore, but a lift video is impossible to escape.

VIP box wanted to make a splash and reach a wealthy captive audience in Grade A building elevators with their Valentine's special.
The challenge was, lift rides don't last very long and VIP Box wanted to fit a big load of information in to the allocated 15-seconds.
Our motion-graphics skills allowed us to deliver a big punch in a short time.

    Hullet House

    2009

Originally built in 1881, the historical site where Hullett House stands today is one of the four oldest surviving government buildings in Hong Kong. For more than 100 years it was occupied by Hong Kong’s Royal Marine Police.

To celebrate its renovation and re-opening to the public, as an ultimate lifestyle destination, we juxtaposed representations of the golden era of the 50s - a cheongsam dressed model with matching hair and make-up - next to modern day Hong Kong.

Additionally, we brought back to life old black and white postcards and, in doing so, encapsulated the rich heritage of this colonial era landmark.

Shooting inside Harvey Nichols meant a lot of red-tape: No extra lighting, a very short time to shoot, and a tight space in which to film.

But by choosing our angles nicely and combining product shots with motion graphics we managed to capture the elegance and happiness of the jewellery catwalk.

You've being given a marketing presentation: Would you rather go through the monotony of a powerpoint presentation, or watch a movie?

While both methods serve the same purpose, the better looking and more entertaining video cannot be ignored.
